Aleris is the largest Aluminum Recycling Company of Brazil. There are twelve collection centers located in eight various states in Brazil. Metal is collected at these collection centers and then distributed to Aleris casting plants located in Pindamonhangaba and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Aleris has a successful history and a pioneer in aluminum recycling in Brazil. In 1991, the company implemented an integrated recycling program working with schools to recycle aluminum cans throughout the entire country. Approximately 100 thousand tons of aluminum cans are recycled annually and transformed into molten aluminum which is later used to manufacture new aluminum cans.
